Topeka, KS – Today, in Topeka, community leader and advocate Jason Anderson officially filed his Candidate's Declaration of Intention with the Secretary of State's office, marking the start of his campaign for the Kansas Senate in District 35. Anderson, a Kansas City native and respected voice in technology, education, and public service, is committed to addressing the pressing issues facing Johnson County and the state at large.

Anderson's platform centers on bolstering Johnson County's renowned public education system, driving economic growth, and enhancing public health and safety. "Our county's schools have been a beacon of excellence, attracting families and businesses alike," Anderson stated. "As your State Senator, I will fight to ensure our schools are fully funded, and that our community colleges continue to serve as vital links between students, universities, and employers."

The campaign also focuses on key economic issues, including property tax reform, job creation, and workforce development. Anderson highlighted the recent Panasonic development in De Soto as a model for future growth. "This project is just the beginning. Addressing healthcare, Anderson noted, "With 12% of Kansas adults lacking health insurance and many families burdened by medical debt, it's clear we must improve healthcare accessibility. Expanding Medicaid and supporting local healthcare initiatives will be a priority in my campaign."

Born in Kansas City and a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and UC Berkeley, Anderson's diverse career spans various sectors, including software, market research, and biotechnology.
